After graduating from the University of California, Irvine, California Eta Leah Seminario began a career as a professional dancer in New York City, performing in a number of Broadway National Tours.
When she moved back to Southern California a few years later, Leah began to focus more on teaching dance fitness and barre workout classes. Leah loved the work she had been doing previously, but she became tired of answering to someone else. Leah wanted to set her own path.
Leah understands how busy daily life is: she is a mother, a wife, an entrepreneur, and a professional. It became increasingly difficult for her to find the time to get a good workout in. Leah created a workout for herself grounded in High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT). With a more intense workout, she was able to burn the same amount of calories in a shorter time – just 35 minutes! In one word, her workout is: Efficient.
She quickly saw changes in her own body and figured maybe this could work for others too. Thus, Leah launched “completeBURN Fitness: Fitness for Mind, Body and Attitude”.
In October of 2015, she beta tested an 8-week program of 20 people, and those people also saw huge results after participating in the program. In December 2015, she opened her program in a studio in Los Angeles, CA. This July, she will be demonstrating her program in front of thousands of attendees at the Idea World Convention: Fitness, Nutrition and Inspiration. In a short amount of time, she has found a lot of success and developed huge partnerships in support of her endeavor.
A lot of hard work and trial and error has gone into reaching the place she is today. So what advice does this busy mother of one, wife, and entrepreneur want to give to her Pi Phi sisters? “What is important is to take time to yourself,” she said. “Carve out 10-15 minutes to breathe and plan out your day.” Leah is learning that once you take care of yourself, the balance happens. The motivation Leah gives to her clients is, “Be a Stronger You.”
