For Washington Gamma Kimberly Webber it’s all about connections. In spring 2015, she studied abroad in Germany, but was able to maintain close ties to her sisters at the University of Puget Sound. She spoke fondly of two Pi Phi sisters, Sophia and Hailey, who studied in Germany with her and is grateful for the way they were able to form a sisterhood in a new way abroad. Additionally, Kimberly served the chapter from afar by creating the recruitment video.
After spending spring semester away from the Washington Gamma Chapter, it was important for Kimberly to link back to her sisters, especially the New Member class, who she was meeting for the first time. Kimberly is also currently serving as the Senior Member Coordinator and hopes her sisters remember to stay passionate about everything they do and learn that it all connects back to Pi Phi. “When you’re engaged, it inspires the younger members to see what an impact Pi Phi could have,” said Kimberly.
Kimberly hopes to make a career in Marketing and Public Relations, but only after spending a year traveling in Ireland. However, she will not be alone during that year — she has already reached out to a recent Washington Gamma alumna who lives there and an Alumnae Advisory Committee member has connected her with friends there. Kimberly continues to grow her network of sisterhood here and overseas.
