For New York Eta Randi Amalfitano, Pi Phi and higher education are her passions. As a recent graduate of New York University (NYU), Randi has decided to stay at the institution to pursue her master’s in Higher Education because of her interest in the fraternity and sorority world. First year in grad school? Check. Alumnae Advisory Committee (AAC) Chair for the New Jersey Alpha Chapter at Princeton University? Double Check.

Since the moment Randi joined Pi Phi, she has been helping to make positive changes for our Fraternity. She was told she could be a great leader, and she took these words to heart. First, she was Vice President Fraternity Development her sophomore year and then served as Panhellenic President. Each of these experiences helped Randi to see that Higher Education is the place for her. What does Randi want to do after graduation? Her dream is to be able to work with chapters as a Fraternity and Sorority Advisor. “I love giving back and I want to help others who are just finding their place in Greek organizations.”

Even as a Pi Phi alumna, Randi is passionate about staying involved with Pi Beta Phi. As the AAC Chair for New Jersey Alpha, Randi has been able to flex her Pi Phi muscles and help shape another chapter. “This opportunity has taught me how to talk to collegians and how to make strides to better a chapter other than just my own!” she said. Randi has also recruited other Pi Phi sisters to join her on AAC and stays active in the local alumnae club. We can already tell that Randi will have a huge impact on Fraternity and Sorority Life.
